Sport Clips franchisees honored

Sport Clips Haircuts honored Blanchard franchisees Larry and Donna Shipman for their charity involvement. The couple were recognized for having the “Heart of a Champion” during the company's 20th anniversary event in Las Vegas last week. The Shipmans, who own 10 Sport Clips locations in the Oklahoma City area, have sponsored Special Olympics Oklahoma for more than 35 years; they also sponsor several other nonprofits including House of Healing, Calm Waters and others.

Buy For Less concludes contest

Buy For Less shopper Susan Barnes won a $500 gift card and an iPod shuffle in a recent contest the grocer offered to promote its Tapes for Education program. For the program, created by Universal Promotions, customers turn in Buy For Less receipts to their local school and the amount on the receipts is added up, then credited to the school for supplies and equipment.

Flower show planned in Tulsa

Utica Square will host “Spring in the Square” from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, featuring prizes, flowers for sale and a photography contest. Flower and landscape vendors will be on hand to answer questions and the shopping center's flower beds will be in full bloom. Children's activities, including a gardening activity and free snow cones, will be available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in front of The Lolly Garden.
