DURANT — A woman died Friday after a collision on U.S. 70 two-tenths of a mile west of Durant, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.
About 6:15 p.m., Joshua Ray, 35, of Mead, was driving east on the highway. His vehicle crossed the center line and struck a westbound vehicle driven by Shirley Howard, 75, of Mead, troopers said.
Howard died at the scene, troopers said.
Ray was treated at a Durant hospital and released. A passenger in the vehicle Ray was driving, Will Peterson, 38, of Durant, was admitted to a Durant hospital. Another passenger in the car was not injured.
