Oklahoma woman dies after collision in Marshall County

Carole Hopson, 75, of Madill, died Friday after the vehicle she was driving collided with a pickup on U.S. 377 in Marshall County, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

A woman died Friday after a collision on U.S. 377 in Marshall County, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

About 12:45 p.m., Carole Hopson, 75, of Madill, was driving south on the highway near Kingston when she attempted to make a left turn.

A pickup driven by Reed Jones, 60, of Denison, Texas, was also traveling south and collided with Hopson’s car when she turned, troopers said.

Hopson, who was not wearing a seat belt, was flown to a hospital in Plano, Texas, where she later died. Jones was not injured, troopers said.
