Oklahoma woman dies after crash in Payne County

Linda Larkin, 19, of Ripley, died Sunday after a two-car collision on U.S. 177 south of Stillwater, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

A 19-year-old woman died Sunday after a two-vehicle collision in Payne County, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

About 3:40 p.m., Larkin Gray, of Ripley, was a passenger in a car southbound on U.S. 177, about four miles south of Stillwater. Linda Brashears, 54, of Oklahoma City, was driving and Ben Brashears, 24, of Stillwater, was another passenger.

Brashear’s car was turning into a driveway when it was struck from behind by a pickup driven by Matthew Loveless, 25, of Stillwater, troopers said.

Gray died at the scene. Linda Brashears was taken to a hospital in Stillwater, and Ben Brashears was taken by helicopter to an Oklahoma City hospital, troopers said.

Loveless was not injured, troopers said.
