TULSA — A 21-year-old woman who jurors said killed her husband by pushing him out a window of their 25th-floor apartment in downtown Tulsa is due in court for sentencing.

Amber Hilberling was convicted of second-degree murder last month. Sentencing is Tuesday afternoon.

Jurors recommended Hilberling serve 25 years in prison for pushing 23-year-old Joshua Hilberling to his death in 2011.

Prosecutors had argued that Amber Hilberling shoved her husband after becoming enraged at his intent to leave her. The woman's lawyers said Joshua Hilberling's death was a tragic accident and blamed the “unusually thin” windows in their apartment. He landed on the roof of a parking garage 17 floors below.
