The Sooners also got an efficient performance from guard Morgan Hook, who had six points, eight assists, and no turnovers in 17 minutes.
OU held Maryland Eastern Shore (3-6) to just 22 percent from the field. All 12 Sooners that played scored and contributed at least one rebound.
“Regardless of the competition, we had fewer errors today,” Coale said. “There are minor things we did today that make such major differences. That's how we'll get to where we want to be.”
Senior guard Aaryn Ellenberg exited the game after playing just four minutes and did not return with a left knee strain. The injury is not believed to be serious, and Ellenberg could have returned to the game if needed.
OU's next contest will be Wednesday when the Sooners head to Bridgeport, Conn. to take on Fairfield.
