With Brittney Griner no longer at Baylor, Oklahoma is the favorite to win the Big 12 women’s basketball title once again.

The Sooners were picked to win the conference by the league coaches, the Big 12 announced Wednesday.

Oklahoma received five first-place votes for a total of 74 points. Baylor, which has won the last three conference regular and postseason titles, received three first-place votes and 70 points to finish second in the poll.

West Virginia and Oklahoma State were tied for third with 63 points. The Mountaineers received the other two first-place votes. Texas, Iowa State, Kansas, TCU, Kansas State and Texas Tech round out the poll.

It’s the fourth time the Sooners have been the preseason favorites. In each of those seasons, OU won or shared the Big 12 title.
