NORMAN — Oklahoma rallied from a double-digit deficit, but lost Aaryn Ellenberg, the lead and, ultimately, the game.

Iowa State won 82-75 in overtime Sunday afternoon inside Lloyd Noble Center, where the Sooners fought hard late but couldn't hang on against the unbeaten Cyclones after Ellenberg fouled out at the end of regulation.

The loss was Oklahoma's second in overtime this season. The Sooners also dropped their Nov. 17 game to Louisville in overtime.

“We have had that experience and we didn't learn from it very well,” said OU coach Sherri Coale.

The Sooners and Cyclones went back-and-forth for much of the first half, with the lead changing nine times, and Iowa State took a 32-30 lead into halftime.

After the break, though, Iowa State took control of the game, leading by as many as 10 points with about six minutes remaining. The Sooners battled back and took their first lead of the second half when senior point guard Morgan Hook drained a 3-pointer with 2:21 on the clock.

With the game tied at 67 and less than 30 seconds remaining, sophomore Sharane Campbell stole the ball from ISU's Nikki Moody and scored to give OU the lead.

But Ellenberg — Oklahoma's leading scorer — picked up her fifth foul with six seconds to go, relegating her to the bench, and Moody's two ensuing free throws sent the game to overtime.
