— Several issues continued to plague the Oklahoma women's basketball team, but the Sooners did manage to snap a two-game losing streak with Saturday's 61-50 win over Kansas State.

“Just glad to get away with a win,” said OU coach Sherri Coale.

The Sooners (11-6, 2-2 Big 12) were coming off back-to-back overtime losses, first to Iowa State at home last weekend and then at Texas on Wednesday.

“We want to take care of business at home,” said senior guard Aaryn Ellenberg, who led all scorers with 23 points Saturday. “I think we really needed that one, especially coming off the last two overtime games and losing.”

Sophomore Sharane Campbell added 14 points and 10 rebounds for the Sooners, and freshman guard Leticia Romero led Kansas State with 19 points and 11 rebounds.

Oklahoma made only eight of its 25 first-half field-goal attempts, but still took a 23-18 lead into halftime.

The Sooners improved offensively after the break, but perhaps the biggest problem facing Oklahoma all night was senior point guard Morgan Hook's uncharacteristic lack of production.

Hook didn't score, grabbed just one rebound and fouled out with just over two minutes to go. She also committed four turnovers.
