An Oklahoma man died Monday after a head-on collision on Interstate 44, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

About 9:40 p.m., Raymond Meeks, 53, of Cyril, was driving west in the eastbound lane of the interstate near mile marker 85 in Grady County when he hit a vehicle traveling east head-on. Meeks was flown to OU Medical Center, where he died.

Troopers said the other driver, Issa Gakwandi, 52, of Bedford, Texas, wasn’t hurt.
