When you see his long 6-foot-5, 300-pound frame standing on the sideline, he personifies the definition of a left tackle.
Oregon defensive end Nick Reed has a physical stature more qualified to be a fullback or a ballboy than the guy who has the second-most sacks in the country this season.
Reed is listed at 6-foot-2, 248 pounds. Both appear to be a little generous.
But he’ll go against OSU’s prototypical left tackle Tuesday night, and he’ll give Okung all he can handle in one of the most intriguing and important matchups in the Holiday Bowl.
Analysis of Reed’s skills is both similar and contradictory, based on the source.
"He’s quick. He’s got great hip flexibility,” said OSU coach Mike Gundy.
