Omaha doctor elected to board of national group

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — An Omaha doctor has been elected to serve on the Board of Regents of the American College of Physicians, a national organization of internists.

Tape is professor and vice chair of clinical affairs for the University of Nebraska Medical Center Department of Internal Medicine. He also serves as chief of the division of general internal medicine.

Tape's term on the board will begin during the group's annual scientific meeting, Internal Medicine 2013, to be held next week in San Francisco.
