Omaha stops RedHawks

— Johnny Giavotella hit a two-run double, then scored on a wild pitch, helping the Omaha Storm Chasers to a 4-2 win over the Oklahoma City RedHawks on Saturday night at Werner Park.

Jonathan Meyer homered, and Robbie Grossman and Enrique Hernandez had three hits apiece for the RedHawks.

OKC starter Bobby Doran (0-2) allowed three runs and two hits in five innings.

Omaha starter John Lamb (1-5) scattered seven hits in 51/3 innings, allowing two runs with seven strikeouts. Buddy Baumann worked the final two innings for his first save.

Omaha has won the first two games of the four-game series, which continues at 2:05 p.m. Sunday. Rudy Owens (2-0, 3.95 ERA) starts for the RedHawks, opposed by Omaha’s Sugar Ray Marimon (2-1, 2.66).
