One dead, one arrested in Oklahoma shooting

Michael Eric Morris, 21, was found dead and Joe Henry Harden, 22, was arrested on a murder complaint by Hughes County sheriff's deputies after a shooting during a party at a home near Calvin, Oklahoma, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation said in a news release.

A man was shot to death Sunday morning in Hughes County, and authorities said they have made an arrest.

Michael Eric Morris, 21, was found dead when sheriff's deputies were called just after 6 a.m. to 4620 Shady Lane in the Hickory Hills area near Calvin.

Joe Henry Harden, 22, was arrested on a murder complaint and booked into Hughes County jail.

Harden and Morris were both attending a party at the home when the shooting happened, a news release from the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation stated.

The OSBI said Hughes County Sheriff Kenny Snyder requested help in the investigation, and the OSBI is interviewing witnesses.
