Oologah student dead from bacterial meningitis

OOLOGAH - An Oologah student has died from bacterial meningitis and three other students are hospitalized, school officials said Thursday.

Rick Thomas , Oologah-Talala school superintendent released a prepared statement saying the elementary student died and state Health Department officials are at the school.

Health officials will be making recommendations on the next action to be taken.
