Oologah-Talala public schools' students to receive meningitis vaccine

In the wake of the deadly meningitis outbreak in northeastern Oklahoma, students attending Oologah-Talala public schools are scheduled to get vaccinated against meningococcal bacteria this week, the state Health Department announced.

Students, faculty and staff of Oologah-Talala public schools can receive free meningitis vaccinations from noon to 7 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Rogers County Health Department, 2664 N Highway 88, Claremore.
