Get your boots on Oklahoma City. Energy FC is hosting open tryouts next month in Oklahoma City to help fill roster spots.
The newest franchise in USLPro will hold the two-day event Feb. 15 & 16 at a site yet to be determined. They will also hold another open tryout in Kansas City on Feb. 18 and March 1.
Energy FC is an affiliate of defending MLS champion Sporting Kansas City. The partnership will fill some of OKC’s roster spots as Sporting can loan players to its affiliate.
Workout sessions and drills will be conducted on Saturday, Feb. 15 for participants and on Sunday, full scrimmages will be held to find the best players earn a spot with OKC.

USLPro has yet to release a schedule for the 2014 season, though the league is hoping to be ahead of last year’s release date of Jan. 24. The season begins in mid-March.
Jimmy Nielsen was picked to be the head coach in the inaugural season for Energy FC. He spent some time at the MLS Combine this past week scouting talent along with general manager Jeff Hawkins and assistant coach Chris Spendlove.
USLPro is hosting its own combine in Bradenton, Florida on Thursday, Jan. 26.
