Registration for the two-day event is $65 or $40 for one day. Participants will receive a copy of “Doing Oral History: A Practical Guide” by featured speaker Donald H. Ritchie, Historian for the U.S. Senate, as well as the Oral History for the 21st Century Toolkit. Lunch is included in the registration fee.

The first day, November 12, will provide sessions on techniques and strategies of conducting productive interviews, followed by an afternoon presentation by Wes Fryer with the “Celebrate Oklahoma Voices” project on the principles and techniques of recording, editing, and distributing oral history in a digitized format.

The second day, November 13, will focus on “lessons learned” and successful case studies of oral history projects, including the development of cookbooks, exhibits, websites, organizational histories, and more.
