TULSA (AP) — A Tulsa casino has reopened after a storm that caused power outages and damage on the campus at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa.
River Spirit Casino General Manager Jerry Floyd told the Tulsa World (http://bit.ly/P6Al3M) that the casino reopened about 7 a.m. Saturday following the storm that struck about 6 p.m. Friday.
The storm produced winds of up to 66 miles per hour and brought down power lines that left about 3,100 American Electric Power-Public Service Company of Oklahoma customers without electricity. PSO spokesman Stan Whiteford said power was restored by 11 a.m. Saturday.
ORU Executive Vice President Tim Philley said the storm broke windows and doors at the Mabee Center and damaged Howard Auditorium. A roof at an apartment complex was also damaged and the complex's parking lot flooded.
