The Myriad Botanical Gardens’ annual Orchids in October will be Thursday through Saturday.

The orchid extravaganza will include an orchid sale, a fundraising luncheon Thursday and free admission to the Crystal Bridge Tropical Conservatory on Friday.

More than 300 orchids will be available during the sale with options for beginning and advanced orchid growers. Horticulturists and orchid enthusiasts will be on hand to answer questions and help with selections.

The ticketed luncheon will honor Michael S. Laird, this year’s Crystal Orchid Award honoree. Laird, a director with Crowe & Dunlevy law firm, is past president of the Myriad Gardens Foundation and has served on its board since 1997.

The Myriad Botanical Gardens is at Reno and Robinson.

Admission is $6 for adults; $5 for ages 62 and older, students ages 13 to 18 and adults with a college ID; and $3 for ages 4 to 12.

For more information, call 297-3995 or go online to www.myriadgardens.com.
