An OSBI forensics expert testified Thursday morning at Rebecca Bryan's murder trial that a blanket covering the gun used to shoot Keith Bryan would prevent blood from splattering on the person who shot him.

Investigators found a Ruger .380 LCP handgun, a bullet-ridden blanket, an empty shell casing and a rubber glove in the dryer of the Bryans' Mustang home in the hours after Nichols Hills Fire Chief Keith Bryan, 52, was shot in the head while sitting on his couch Sept. 20, 2011.

Becky Bryan, 54, is charged with murder in the case. She told authorities an intruder came into the home at 1320 W Rose Hill Drive and shot her husband just after 10 p.m. before apologizing and saying the fire chief should have hired him.

The evidence found in the dryer contradicts Becky Bryan's story. She told police the intruder came in and left through the garage door and did not deviate from his path to the living room. The dryer is in the home's utility room, which is not on the path to the garage door.
