Serology, the identification of body fluids including blood and other biological materials, and DNA analysis are performed.
Evidence analyzed in sexual assaults, burglaries, and homicides cases.

Ryan Porter began his career with the OSBI in the criminal history unit while still in college at the University of Central Oklahoma. He graduated in December 1998 and began work in the Tahlequah OSBI lab as a biologist. During the next six years, Porter completed the biology training program and began performing casework. During that time, Porter was deployed twice with his Air National Guard unit to Afghanistan as part of Operation Enduring Freedom.
