OSU athletics: Jury selected in Darrell Williams trial; Herschel Sims arraigned

Eight men and four women will hear the case against Williams, who was charged in February 2011 with four counts of rape by instrumentation and one count of sexual battery.

Opening statements begin Thursday morning.

Also Wednesday in Payne County District Court, former OSU running back Herschel Sims was arraigned. The case was continued until 1:45 p.m. Aug. 15 at the request of Sims' attorney, Rebecca King.

A determination will then be made as to whether to set or waive a preliminary hearing.
