OSU baseball: Cowboys clinch series win over Alcorn State

Oklahoma State clinched a series win over Alcorn State with an 11-2 victory Saturday at Allie P. Reynolds Stadium in Stillwater.

Six different Cowboys collected multiple hits as 25th-ranked OSU improved to 31-19 and won for the 23rd time in 27 home games this season.

Jared Womack led OSU with three RBIs, while Trey Whaley had three hits, and Chase Stevens picked up his seventh win of the season in relief of Vince Wheeland.

Stevens came on with one out in the fourth and did not allow a run over the final 5 2/3 innings to improve to 7-4. He allowed only two hits and racked up 10 strikeouts.

OSU will attempt to close out the series sweep Sunday at 1 p.m.
