OSU basketball: More on Ivan McFarlin's work ethic

newsok.com Published: April 1, 2014
Ivan McFarlin once worked the paint for Oklahoma State's 2004 Final Four team. Now he works the door at Best Buy in Stillwater when he isn't coaching basketball.

Jenni Carlson's story on McFarlin and whatever happened to those Cowboys inspired an interesting nugget about the man they called IMac. It's from NewsOK reader Richard Eggerman and he originally posted it in the Comments section below the story:

"While playing for OSU, (McFarlin) ran a delivery route for the campus newspaper. He would pick up his papers around 6 a.m. each weekday morning at the press room of the local newspaper," Eggerman wrote.

"I was a member of the press crew at the time, and couldn't believe my eyes the first time I saw him waiting by the door."
