Riley’s defense missed
Strangely enough Saturday night, OSU seemed to miss Andrea Riley’s defense as much as her offense. Chattanooga routinely got easy shots, until the Cowgirls went to a second-half press.

"Her hustle makes us work a lot harder,” said teammate Tegan Cunningham said. "She’s just naturally fast and can get some really good deflections. We did miss her. When we first got out there, we were sort of stunned she wasn’t around.”

VETERAN POINT GUARDS
OSU’s Riley has made 130 career starts. Georgia’s Ashley Houts has made 128 career starts. This is a matchup of veteran — and first-team all-conference — point guards.

Georgia coach Andy Landers noted that Houts almost never comes out of the game and might have the NCAA record for minutes played. Houts has played 4,687 career minutes; that’s an average of 35.8 minutes a game. Riley has played 4,616 minutes, an average of 35.5.

Houts’ secret? "Junk food,” she said.
