OSU basketball: Philip Jurick misses court date; bench warrant recalled
Senior failed to appear in court on a charge of driving with a suspended license.
A bench warrant issued for the arrest of Oklahoma State basketball player Philip Jurick was recalled Friday afternoon, the Tulsa World reported.

Jurick, a 21-year-old senior, had been sent a letter in May ordering him to appear in court by 1:45 p.m. Thursday, according to court records. When he failed to report, the warrant was issued and bond was set at $500. Later Friday, the matter was continued until 1:45 p.m. Thursday, June 21.
Following a routine traffic stop in Stillwater in April, when Jurick was ticketed for speeding, it was discovered he was driving with a suspended Tennessee driver's license. Jurick told officers at the scene that he was unaware of the suspension.
Jurick averaged 1.6 points and 4.6 rebounds and blocked 47 shots for the Cowboys last season while playing in 27 games — 16 starts — before tearing his Achilles tendon late in the season at Kansas State.
Last year was Jurick's first with the Cowboys, after he transferred from junior college at Chattanooga State.
