Oklahoma State football legend Barry Sanders was voted by fans to join 2011 Heisman winner Robert Griffin III on the cover of EA SPORTS' NCAA Football 13, the gaming company announced Monday.

Sanders won a bracket-style tournament on the game's Facebook page called the NCAA Football 13 My Heisman Cover Vote, which pegged eight former Heisman winners — Sanders, Marcus Allen, Doug Flutie, Eddie George, Desmond Howard, Charlie Ward, Herschel Walker and Andre Ware — against each other in head-to-head matchups. Sanders beat out Walker in the finals.

“The fans have spoken, and it's absolutely a true honor,” Sanders said on Dan Patrick's radio show Monday morning. “I went up against some great former Heisman winners. It's a terrific honor for me.”

Sanders won the Heisman in 1988 after amassing 2,628 rushing yards and 39 total touchdowns for the Cowboys. His performance that season is widely regarded as one of the best in NCAA history.

Sanders is the second former OSU athlete to be voted onto an EA SPORTS video game cover in the past year, as Rickie Fowler was selected to join Tiger Woods on the North American copies of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 13

NCAA Football 13 will be released on Xbox360 and PlayStation3 on July 10.
