Marcell Ateman, a 6-foot-4, 189-pound wide receiver from Wylie, Texas, is the latest Oklahoma State commit, as he announced on Twitter Wednesday night that he had pledged to the Cowboys.
Ateman, rated a four-star prospect by Rivals, was offered at OSU's Junior Day in February and made his decision after a visit from wide receivers coach Kasey Dunn on Tuesday.
"I just fell in love, you know, with the coaching staff and what they do,” Ateman told Rivals. “I just thought that they would be a good fit for me because they throw the football and that's what they do. I don't know, I just really like them so I thought I should go ahead and pull the trigger and go ahead and say it.”
Ateman tallied 67 catches for 1,047 yards and 10 touchdowns last season for East High School. He had more than 15 offers, including Arkansas, Baylor, Iowa State, Missouri, Michigan, Tennessee and Texas Tech.
Ateman is the third commitment of OSU's 2013 class, joining Fred Ross, a four-star receiver from Tyler, Texas, and Jack Kurzu, an offensive lineman from St. Louis.
