OSU football: Cowboys pick up a pair of four-star skill position commits

Mike Gundy sent out a pair of his masked celebratory tweets on Sunday afternoon – Great day to #BeACowboy! Pistols Firing – meaning news would likely surface of two commitments soon after.

Sure enough, minutes later, word began to leak across the Twitterverse that Alief Taylor (Houston) high school teammates Keenen Brown (a four-star wide receiver) and Chris Hardeman (a four-star cornerback) had committed to Oklahoma State.

The duo visited Stillwater this past weekend, taking in the team’s scrimmage on Saturday night, a day after they were both in Norman visiting the OU campus.

Immediately, they become two of the most highly regarded players in OSU’s 2014 recruiting class, with their Sunday commitments doubling the number of four-star prospects the Cowboys have locked up.

Brown is a big wideout, at 6-foot-3 and 185 pounds, with standing offers from Oregon, Florida and OU, among others. Here’s his Rivals page.

Hardeman, meanwhile, is a bit undersized at corner (listed at 5-foot-9), but contains the bulk, speed and playmaking ability that have him ranked as a top-20 DB in the country. He has standing offers from Ohio State, Georgia and Nebraska, among others, and was committed to LSU earlier in the recruiting process before changing. Here’s his Rivals page

Also, check out highlights of the duo.
