Bedlam 2008 was a game full of big plays answered by big plays.
One of the most impressive answers of the night was Oklahoma State’s Perrish Cox’s 90-yard kickoff return for a touchdown early in the fourth quarter. The touchdown brought OSU within a field goal, cutting the OU lead to 44-41.
"I thought he danced around too much on the first ones, so we got him to the sidelines and he gritted his teeth and said, ‘Coach, if you call that one we’re going to hit it running and we’re gonna score,’ ” OSU co-offensive coordinator Trooper Taylor said. "It set a tone for us right there. It created some more enthusiasm when we needed it.”
It was Cox’s fourth career kickoff return for a touchdown, which is the most in the NCAA among active players.
