— The statuses of junior safety Victor Johnson and junior defensive end Jamie Blatnick within the Oklahoma State football program remain unclear.

OSU coach Mike Gundy said a decision on Johnson's status could come soon, while Blatnick's situation could remain unclear for an extended amount of time.

"Victor's situation should clear up pretty soon," Gundy said after his media golf tournament on Tuesday. "Most of the information that I need should be with me in the morning. Nobody likes to prolong a situation like this less than me. Everybody has a side to the story, I have to gather all that (information) then make a decision."

Blatnick’s status could be cleared up within a few days or could take longer due to his felony charge of assault in Payne County Court, which stems from a fight with former teammate Steve Denning.

"Jamie's situation is more severe because he's been charged with a felony," Gundy said. "I may be three or four days from gathering the information in his situation. (But) the situation outside (the program, i.e. Blatnick's court case) has to run its course."

Gundy said he expects Blatnick to be a member of the program when practice begins on Friday but he is unlikely to be participating in practice.
