OSU football: Littlehead, Rush charged with possession of drug paraphernalia

Oklahoma State defensive lineman Christian Littlehead and offensive linemen Jonathan Rush were each charged Monday with one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

STILLWATER — Oklahoma State defensive lineman Christian Littlehead and offensive linemen Jonathan Rush were each charged Monday with one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

The charges, both misdemeanors, stem from an incident last Thursday, when OSU police found two homemade smoking devices containing burnt residue in Rush's and Littlehead's residence at Sitlington Hall, according to the initial filing at the Payne County Courthouse.

The crime is punishable by imprisonment for up to one year or a fine up to $1,000, or both.

OSU spokesman Gavin Lang said the football program is still in the fact-gathering stage and that the issue will be handled internally.

Littlehead is scheduled to appear in court for arraignment on Dec. 29. The Cowboys will arrive in Arizona for the Fiesta Bowl on Dec. 27. Littlehead can arrange with the court to appear on an earlier date.

Rush has not yet been scheduled to appear in court.

Littlehead, a redshirt freshman, has been a part-time starter at defensive tackle for the Cowboys this season and has tallied 16 tackles and one sack.

Rush was a starter on the Cowboy offensive line until suffering a season-ending knee injury against Texas A&M in September. He was recently granted a sixth year of eligibility.
