“There is a comfort with the people that it's most important to, which is the team and the coaches,” Gundy said. “But just right on that outside of that shell, I don't know that everybody's really settled in with it yet.”
IOWA STATE BY THE NUMBERS
Much of the reason behind the Cyclones' 2-4 conference record so far this season is because of their struggle on offense.
ISU ranks last in the Big 12 in scoring offense (24 points per game), first downs gained (184) and passing efficiency (105.8).
The Cyclones have recently changed quarterbacks, starting redshirt freshman Jared Barnett the last two games instead of Steele Jantz.
The Cyclones also rank last in the conference in turnover margin (-0.89).
Individually, ISU wide receiver Josh Lenz is ninth in the Big 12 in all-purpose yards (110.1 per game), while linebacker Jake Knott ranks second in the conference with 8.9 tackles per game.
