Cowboys still in hunt for a number of awards

Oklahoma State’s table at next month’s ESPNU College Football Awards show is filling up fast.

Receiver Dez Bryant was invited to the show as one of three finalists for the Biletnikoff Award on Monday, where he will be joined by tight end Brandon Pettigrew and punter Matt Fodge.

Pettigrew is a finalist for the John Mackey Award, and Fodge is one of three finalists for the Ray Guy Award for the nation’s best punter, along with Utah’s Louie Sakoda and West Virginia’s Pat McAfee.

The award winners will be announced Dec. 11 in Orlando, Fla., on a live ESPN telecast.

OSU running back Kendall Hunter did not make the finalist list for the Doak Walker Award, which consisted of Michigan State’s Javon Ringer, Iowa’s Shonn Greene and Georgia’s Knowshon Moreno.
