It was shades of Randy Moss as Oklahoma State receiver Justin Blackmon looked like the Minnesota Vikings receiver on his second-quarter touchdown reception from Brandon Weeden Friday.
"I was just trying to give Brandon (a suggestion) where to throw it," Blackmon said with a laugh. "And he caught on real quick and threw the ball up there."
The sophomore receiver threw his hand up, a la Moss, before he had passed his defender than leapt between two defenders on a 37-yard touchdown reception.
"That's exactly what I said, word for word," Weeden said. "I saw that and was like, 'OK.' Black is big on this: 'Just throw it up, if I don't catch it, they're not going to catch it.'"
Cowboys wide receiver Josh Cooper missed most of Friday night's game, leaving after just three offensive plays due a helmet-to-helmet collision.
OSU will wait and see on his availability for Saturday's game at Texas Tech, although Mike Gundy said Sunday that he was looking better as the team gathered for meetings and practice.
