Texas coach Mack Brown is known for showering opponents with compliments.

Talking Monday about OSU, Brown was back at it, and then some, focusing on the talents of the Cowboys' latest triplets: running back Kendall Hunter, wide receiver Justin Blackmon and quarterback Brandon Weeden.

"It's the best offense I've seen in a long time," Brown said. "It's a lot like what we had in '05 when we won the national championship. They're scoring more than 40 points (a game) and have around 550 yards a game because they can score in different ways.

"They have an All-American running back. They have a receiver that looks like Michael Crabtree. They have a quarterback that is older, more mature, a pro baseball player.

"They've taken the Texas Tech scheme, cut the splits down some, but they're much more balanced. They have a great running game."

Kickoff for OSU's Nov. 20 game at Kansas has been set for 11 a.m., with FSN handling the broadcast.

It will mark the Cowboys' fifth appearance on the network this season and their ninth to be televised this season overall.

Cowboys cornerback Brodrick Brown struck for an early big play against Baylor, ripping the ball from Bears receiver Josh Gordon, then recovering the fumble to set up OSU's first touchdown.

"I ran in there, wrapped the guy up," Brown said, "my hand was on the ball, and he was trying to get more yards. I just ripped the ball out. It spun in the air and I lost it for a moment, then I saw it and ran over and picked it up.

"They said it was the textbook strip, because the ball was spinning in a spiral. It's pretty good to get the fumble and the fumble recovery."
