“We had different players, too,” Gundy said. “I just don't know ... To be honest with you. I'll keep answering it. It's kind of getting old.
“At some point I just have to say that we may not be at the same talent level that we were over the last number of years here and we've got the same plays, same scheme, everything.”
SHAUN LEWIS READY FOR MORE
Following a dynamite performance that included eight tackles, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and an interception, Oklahoma State linebacker Shaun Lewis got a big hug from defensive coordinator Glenn Spencer.
“He just melted in my arms,” Spencer said.
Lewis was elated, yet exhausted, after a game where the Cowboys forced five turnovers to lift an offense that continues to sputter.
“It was like, ‘We did it, Coach,'” Spencer said of Lewis' emotions. “And I said ‘Shaun, we're gonna have to do that a lot more this year.' And he says, ‘That's OK. I'm ready. I'll do it.'”
