Who will be the Cowboys' new starting quarterback?

Here's what OSU players had to say about the quarterback race after Saturday's spring finale:

Quarterback Clint Chelf:

“Without question, I feel that I've gotten a whole bunch better. We've really come together as an offense. From day one to now, I feel like it's two different teams. I'm really proud of the guys.”

Quarterback J.W. Walsh:

“I feel like I've proven I can handle the pressure of being the starting quarterback. But that's not for me to assess. That's for the coaches to assess, and we'll see.”

Running back Joseph Randle:

“The freshman (Wes Lunt) really did surprise me with how he developed. As soon as he learned the offense, we could tell he was just really doing things and being very productive. For a guy his age at the quarterback position, I think he made a lot of improvement throughout the spring.”

Defensive back Brodrick Brown:

“Our offense is going to be good no matter who the quarterback is.”

Defensive end Cooper Bassett:

“All three of the guys have stepped up. All three of them have big-play capabilities and leadership qualities. Honestly, I'm not sure who's going to be the quarterback next year, but whoever it's going to be, I've got my full trust in.”
