OSU football: Pokes’ Bo Bowling to be tried on drug charges

STILLWATER — Suspended Oklahoma State football player Bo Bowling will stand trial for felony and misdemeanor drug charges, a Payne County judge ruled on Friday, and those charges have been amended to include possession of an anabolic steroid, according to court documents.

Paperwork filed with the Oklahoma State Courts Network on April 7 showed the amended misdemeanor charge of possession of a controlled dangerous substance to include Ephedrine and the anabolic steroid Stanozolol, in addition to Alprazolam, also known as the anti-anxiety medication Xanax, which was part of the initial charge.

The amendments to the charge stemmed from chemical testing of additional substances which were not immediately identifiable by police at the time of the initial filing.

Bowling also had been charged with felony possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and misdemeanor unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

On Feb. 10, he pleaded not guilty to all three charges.
