OSU football recruiting: Jesse Robinson convinced Hurst, Texas, teammate Vili Leveni to pick Cowboys

For the past three years, defensive end Vili Leveni and offensive lineman Jesse Robinson have gone head-to-head on the practice field.

That'll now continue at Oklahoma State, with the high school teammates and close friends from Hurst (Texas) L.D. Bell both signing their letters of intent to play for the Cowboys Wednesday morning.

"He's actually made me a lot better since sophomore year, always going up against him," Levini said. "I'm glad I get to go up there with him to help continue to get better."

Robinson, rated a three-star prospect by Rivals, has been a known OSU commit since November. But Leveni, also a three-star prospect, was a late grab for the Cowboys, as he switched his pledge from Utah after an in-home visit from defensive coordinator Glenn Spencer last week.

A push from Robinson also helped Leveni pick the Cowboys.

“He kept hitting me up saying, ‘OSU, OSU, OSU,'” Leveni said with a laugh. “I finally listened. I'm glad I did, too.”
