STILLWATER — OSU got its fourth commitment of the 2013 class Sunday when Deric Robertson, a safety from Killeen, Texas, pledged to the Cowboys, according to Scout.com.
Robertson sports a 6-2, 195-pound frame and runs the 40-yard dash in 4.34 seconds, according to ESPN.com. He is not rated by Scout or Rivals, but he told ESPN.com earlier this month that he was also being recruited by Tulsa, Texas A&M, TCU and Texas Tech.
“(The OSU) coaches are real good people,” Robertson told Scout following his commitment. “By going to Oklahoma State, I will be going somewhere a little out of my element, and they promised me a good family atmosphere. That is what I see there with the coaches and the players, a real good family atmosphere. They are all good people, and that is what I noticed.”
Robertson lived in Lawton for four years before moving to Killeen.
Robertson joins wide receivers Fred Ross (Tyler, Texas) and Marcel Ateman (Wylie, Texas) and offensive lineman Jack Kurzu (St. Louis) as commitments in OSU's 2013 recruiting class.
