Oklahoma State's football commitment list is now up to 10. The Cowboys got a commitment from 6-foot-3, 215 pound safety Joe Mitchell out of Katy (Morton Ranch), Texas on Monday.

"Oklahoma State sent me an offer in the mail and (on Monday) I gave them a solid verbal commitment," Mitchell told Scout.com.

"This week, I had a real long talk with my dad and then I met some people that had gone to Oklahoma State and they told me that they loved it, that the campus was great, and they have a really good engineering school."

Mitchell, who was recruited by OSU as a safety, also played quarterback for Morton Ranch and had more than 1,000 yards rushing and passing. He accounted for 20 touchdowns on offense and picked off two passes.

Mitchell, who also ran track in high school, was reportedly being recruited by Tulane, Utah, UTEP, Baylor, Florida, Kansas, Kentucky and Missouri. He will graduate from high school in December and enroll at OSU for the spring semester.

The Cowboys are expected to sign more than 20 players for the 2008-09 class. Here's a look at who they have commitments from so far:

* Darius Hart, LB/DE, Pearl River Junior College

* Jeremy Smith, RB, Tulsa Union

* Andrae May, CB, Galena Park, Texas (North Shore HS)

* Brandon Webb, OL, Owasso

* Anthony Morgan, OL, Navarro Junior College

* Andrew Hudson, DE, Bushland, Texas

* Colton Richardson, S, Ada

* Daytawion Lowe, S, Carl Albert

Here's a kid talking about getting an engineering degree and some jerk like Steve throws out a comment like that. Just because you're a lowlife without an education, don't trash talk a kid wanting to get his at a pretty good engineering school. Joe, you will enjoy Stillwater, it's a great place to attend college. Best of luck and don't pay attention to jerks like Steve.
