Oklahoma State continues to inch its way to becoming a top-10 team, while Oklahoma also moved up in one poll and kept its spot in another.

The Cowboys are now ranked 11th in both the Associated Press and USA Today Coaches polls, moving up one spot in the AP poll after rolling 59-3 over Football Championship Subdivision opponent Lamar Saturday night at Boone Pickens Stadium. The Sooners, meanwhile, stayed at No. 14 in the AP poll and moved up to 12th in the USA Today Coaches poll after handling Tulsa 51-20 at Owen Field.

Both OSU and OU have a bye this week. The Cowboys then open Big 12 play at West Virginia on Sept. 28, while the Sooners travel to Notre Dame, which is ranked 22nd in the AP poll and No. 21 in the USA Today Coaches poll. The Irish dropped a spot in the AP poll and did not move in the USA Today Coaches poll after rallying to beat Purdue 31-24 on Saturday.

Other Big 12 teams ranked are Baylor, which is 20th in the AP poll and 19th in the USA Today Coaches poll, and Texas Tech, which is No. 25 in the AP poll. TCU, which lost to Tech in Lubbock Thursday night, dropped out of both polls.
