STILLWATER — Justin Blackmon will get the senior treatment before No. 3 Oklahoma State's Bedlam contest against No. 10 Oklahoma.

The junior superstar receiver will be honored with the Cowboy seniors before their final home game on Saturday because he is likely to enter the NFL Draft after this season. That will allow Blackmon to still partake in a special moment for college athletes, and for the fans to say thanks to Blackmon for his standout career.

“When we have a player that's in his situation, we felt like it was the right thing to do,” OSU coach Mike Gundy said during his weekly press conference. “I hope he comes back, and we'll save a scholarship for him. But chances are, he's going to move on and play professional football, and I would hate for him to leave here without being able to walk across that field with his family one last time.”

Blackmon, the reigning Biletnikoff winner, said last week that he is leaning toward turning pro. Gundy has said multiple times this season that he would advise the receiver to go to the NFL.

Blackmon has 103 catches for 1,241 yards and 15 touchdowns this season and is a finalist for the Biletnikoff award again.

Here's what else Gundy said during Monday's press conference:

On moving past the Iowa State loss:

“I don't think there's any question that they understand the importance of moving forward, and we have to do that (after) every game. I think the greatest challenge in college football now is being able to keep your team focused, and that's why we talk a lot about focus and preparation. I think they're in a good frame of mind, I think they're excited about playing in the game and they're practicing well. There was energy on the field yesterday. I think that's a great sign.”
