Former Cowgirl player Taylor Hardeman: “We are all in this together. We can overcome anything with love and support, and our Cowgirls really need you. I don't think you understand, as a player, what it feels like when you walk in a gym, and it's filled.”

Former Cowgirl player Ally Clardy: “Silently, he taught us things that I don't think he even knows. What's hard is I wish I could tell him what all he did. I know he knows some things, but there's things that I wish we wouldn't have held back. I think that's one thing we're going to take from this is that if you have something that you want to tell somebody you love, you tell them and you say thank you. Life is too short.”

Former Cowgirl player Shaunte' Smith: “I think he was a father figure to all his girls, from Trinity Valley to Louisiana Tech to OSU. We all looked up to him as a family. He's just a family guy. That's what came first, we're a Cowgirl family, his family. I just remember him most giving his big hugs.”
