For Cowboys freshman Le'Bryan Nash, this season has represented a series of ups and downs.
Still, after a 27-point performance against Missouri on Wednesday, in which he carried the Cowboys down the stretch, there was talk of a breakthrough for the highly touted rookie.
The talk was premature.
Nash got off to a strong start against A&M, scoring eight of OSU's first 20 points. But he finished with just 13.
“It's a part of it,” Ford said. “He'll at some point be more consistent. He didn't take a lot of bad shots. Some of the same shots he was taking the other night, just didn't fall. One of those games.”
* Markel Brown didn't start, punishment by Ford for the two technicals Brown drew in the Missouri game, leading to an automatic ejection. Brown entered the game at the 16:57 mark of the first half.
* In recognition of Coaches vs. Cancer, Ford and his coaching staff wore black-and-white Nike sneakers with their suit-and-tie look.
* The Aggies shot 58.3 percent from the floor, a Big 12 season high for them.
