Oklahoma State garnered significant votes in both the AP and coaches' polls released Sunday, one day after OSU rolled over Missouri State. OSU got 67 points in the AP poll, which would put the 3-0 Cowboys at No. 27 if the rankings went that far. In the USA Today poll OSU would have been 31st with 39 points.

Five Big 12 teams are currently in the Top 25 in both polls, with Oklahoma the highest at No. 2. OSU does not face a ranked team until it travels to No. 5 Missouri on Oct. 11.

OSU is off this week, while the Trojans face a tough test against Ohio State this Saturday.

•Donaldson does well: Coach Mike Gundy said in generic terms that it was nice to get less experienced players out on the field against Missouri State.
