To which bowl will OSU be invited?Columnist John Rohde and OSU beat writer Scott Wright debate an issue on OSU football. John Rohde: Win or lose, I think the Cowboys are headed to the Holiday Bowl. With a win, they’d be 10-2, but still behind Texas Tech head-to-head. With a loss, they’d be 9-3, but still ahead of Missouri head-to-head. Scott Wright: Win or lose, I don’t expect the Cowboys end up at the Holiday. Beat OU and I think the Cotton Bowl will come after the Pokes. Lose, and Missouri becomes a more attractive draw for the Holiday and OSU ends up in the Alamo Bowl. I don’t expect head-to-head results to factor in. Rohde: Here’s how I see the Big 12: Texas to BCS bowl; Oklahoma/Texas Tech to BCS/Cotton; OSU to Holiday; Missouri to Alamo; Nebraska to Gator; Kansas to Insight. Wright: Hard to disagree with most of that, but I still think Missouri, with an equal record, will be picked ahead of OSU, simply because of the Tigers’ reputation as a top 10 team the last two years with a nationally known quarterback. But if the Holiday Bowl wants to grab a team on the way up, rather than one at the end of its run, OSU would be the pick.
