Bryant, Cox absent at OSU Pro DayReceiver Dez Bryant and cornerback Perrish Cox did not participate in Oklahoma State’s Pro Day on Wednesday.
NFL.com’s Gil Brandt reported that Bryant’s hamstring injury, which kept him from working out at the NFL Combine, kept him from participating in OSU’s Pro Day. Bryant will likely work out March 25 or March 29 in Lufkin, Texas. After being told he could not participate in OSU’s Pro Day, Cox has scheduled a workout for scouts on March 30 in his hometown of Waco, Texas. Cox has not finalized the actual location of the workout. The former Cowboy cornerback will be looking to improve on a disappointing 40-yard dash time (4.57) at the NFL Combine in February.
TOSTON IMPROVES HIS 40 TIMEKeith Toston was disappointed with his 40-yard dash time at the NFL Combine. The 2009 All-Big 12 running back made up for it at OSU Pro Day. After running a 4.7 at the Combine, Toston was clocked at an unofficial 4.59 on Wednesday, which is a full 10th of a second better than his time in Indianapolis. "At the Combine, I ran my two 40s and didn’t feel real good about it,” Toston said. Today, "a couple guys had me at a 4.50 and 4.55, so I feel like I helped myself a lot.”
BOOKER RUNS 4.51Linebacker Donald Booker seems ideal for an NFL special teams unit. Despite being undersized for a linebacker at 5-foot-11, 236 pounds, Booker might have an NFL future. The former Cowboy ran an unofficial Pro Day-best 4.51 in the 40-yard dash.
